The competition goes sky high and freelancing growing too much fast. Everyone wishes for a career as a freelancer. To start this as a career we have to be skillful in some areas such as bidding on freelance projects. This is the first step towards your bright career in freelancing. So if you make this step a great one and it may prove a key to your success. Read all the information carefully.
There are many freelance marketplaces but the most important that is in the top are
- Up work
- Guru.com
- Fiverr.com
We gonna talk about the bidding process of these all marketplaces. There are a few differences to clear. This process
On Fiverr is known as buyer request
On Up work is called connects
On guru.com is called the bidding
Now we will discuss all of these ones by one and methods of bidding.
UPWORK.COM:
Let’s talk about work. On up work, you have connections through which you can send proposals to your clients. If the budget of the client is too high then your bidding/proposal will cover more than 2-3 connects. When you use all these connect you have to buy on your own. You can buy these connects according to your needs. Keep in mind that all the connects you buy will expire due date, no matter you use it or not. Thus use them in a better way.
GURU.COM:
On guru.com there is a bidding process. In this platform, we bid on client projects. We should follow some rules. Such as
For bidding first of all, read the demands of clients, read the project carefully. If you think you meet the demands of the client you should bid on it.
- In description say;
‘Hello there’ or use the exact name of the client is confirmed.
- Then start the description. Some clients such as English or European doesn’t like the words ‘Dear, brother, sister, friend, Mam, and sir’.
- Never use good morning, good evening, and good afternoon because the time zone is not the same in every corner of the earth.
The next step is;
- Simply introduce yourself. Not brag and praise yourself. Only answer those questions you noted in the clients' projects because no one is interested in your personal information and your qualities. Everyone is interested in work.
The best way is talk about your expertise that would be the solution to client problems. Tell them about your services in a manner that the client feels you are the perfect match for the project.
- Always focus or prefer ‘YOU’ on ‘I’.
- In description use or restate the words of the client to ensure that you perfectly read his demands. Convince your client through your writing.
- Not use the words please and kindly to get sympathy; it would be a negative point in your proposal.
- To win the project add counter-question and create curiosity so that client takes interest and writes back to you.
FIVERR.COM:
On fiverr.com this bidding is replaced by buyer request. On Fiverr client post a project according to his demand s and budget, on the other hand, a freelancer sends the client a buyer request. Fiverr send these projects to related freelancers. It may happen that a beginner freelancer not found any buyer request at the start but over time he will.
As a result a freelancer sends a buyer request in the same way as I talked about bidding on guru.com.
CONCLUSION:
On guru.com and upwork.com you have limited bidding options after consuming all the options you have to buy these for the next time.
But luckily, on Fiverr, you get 10 buyers to request options for 24 hours free of cost.
If you go through this process you definitely get 99.9% results. You can also follow the method or technique of my mentor.
I hope all these e information greatly help you in your freelancer career and in winning projects.
